Deksy (born 7 July 2014) is celebrity cat known for barking. He can often be seen jumping into the skit video, which he will later bark at any given object or pick one which one which. Fans often called deksy as possessed cat or demon cat due to his meowing sounds like a dog barking. As of May 2024 deksy has over 3.1M followers on TikTok, 884K followers on Instagram, and 635K subscribers on YouTube.
Early Life
Deksy was part of a litter born to a cat owned by denis father's friend of family. A few days after Deksy and his siblings were born, their mother vanished, leaving the kittens without care. Deksy's owner's father, a delivery driver, frequently passed through the area and kept an eye out for the missing cat during his routes which he later found her.
For his efforts finding her, the owner offered one of the kittens to denis family. 11 years old denis visited the kittens when they were four weeks old. One of the kittens was chosen to join their family, receiving his name, "Deksy" during the car ride home.[1]
Social Media Presence
In 2019, with the rise of TikTok, Deksy's owner, denis started uploading video of his cat on TikTok showcasing deksy jumping up to his arm. The video became viral and now has over 684K views and 96K likes[2]. Shortly after the video went viral, denis changed his TikTok handle to @deksythecat and created a instagram page for deksy.
