Delilah was a calico cat and Freddie Mercury's favorite cat. In fact, Freddie had at least 10 cats in his whole life; he had a very close relationship with them, treating them as his little babies. Those who met her could say that she was strong and preety funny.
Delilah was so loved by Freddie that he made a whole song about her for his last album 'Innuendo' in 1991. She stayed with him even when he got in bed due to his illness. She would nap with him and he would pet her, even in his last hours of life in November of 1991. [1]
After Freddie's dead, his ex-lover and best friend Mary Austin got most of his will and took care of all his cats, even spending part of the money in some stuff for them.
It is said that Delilah lived a preety long and happy life, dying with around 20 years old. She was buried in Freddie's mansion Garden Lodge, in his favorite garden. [2]
